After Osborn reveals that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, he informs him that he will keep his secret. It still haunts Peter, even when he returns home. Nico offers to take Peter to the movies, but he tells her he’s going to dinner with Osborne. In the empty restaurant, Peter tries to tell Osborn that he’s not Spider-Man, but he sees through his lie. He reveals that after rescuing his son Harry, he began sorting through possible candidates for Spider-Man, eventually narrowing down to Amadeus, Jeanne, Ash, and Peter himself. He offers his services to help him, but Peter politely declines. Osborn leaves the door open just in case and a check.
